John Mc Mahon is a founder director of Forum 21 Ltd. He has
over 25 years experience in advising businesses in the development
and exploitation of competitive advantage with particular reference
to the transition from traditional cost based advantage to
knowledge based advantage including research and development,
marketing, service, location and applications engineering elements.
He has supported over 100 businesses in the UK and Ireland
and has also consulted extensively in Europe, North America
and Asia including assignments on behalf of the EU, the World
Bank and the UN.
John has contributed to conferences internationally and in
the UK and has an established record for stimulating and motivating
participants and building commitment to improved service and
business performance. He is a graduate of UCD and the Cranfield
School of Management. His techniques for assessing competitive
capability and the capacity of businesses to exploit such capability
are extensively used by other consulting and development organisations.
Based on his extensive experience John has developed a series
of “master classes” designed to open the minds
of participants to the prospects of and means to desirable
change in business performance. Directed at business clubs,
trade associations, Chambers of commerce and other organisations
the classes offer a stimulating and entertaining insight into
